Liquid screed in Reading is a popular choice for modern construction due to its smooth surface, fast application, and high compatibility with underfloor heating. A drawback that often accompanies liquid screed installations, however, is screed laitance. This weak, thin film of tiny particles and cement can form on the surface during drying, and it can cause adhesion problems and reduce the performance of floor coverings.

The material of levelling compound sets up significantly faster than concrete and flows much more easily than concrete. The levelling compound in London that has been pumped or poured is mixed with water and then evenly spread using a gauge rake. Liquid screed is sometimes mistaken for concrete, however the two are not interchangeable. Although liquid screed differs from regular concrete, it functions fairly similarly. It is poured over a layer of concrete to create a smooth, level, and orderly surface for flooring, usually wood, which makes it simple to install carpeted or wooden flooring. The cured liquid screed layer can also be cleaned and buffed and left as concrete flooring in some more contemporary homes.
